Molkenmarkt Berlin

In the Berlin Summer Program 2025, our design studio will reimagine the historic Molkenmarkt—the medieval birthplace of Berlin—through contemporary urban housing and public space design. Working within an area transformed over centuries and erased by 20th-century planning, we will explore how a socially and environmentally responsible, mixed-use city center can once again flourish here. Through site research, historical analysis, and architectural proposals focused on Parochialgasse and the Rathaushof, we will contribute fresh ideas to the city’s ongoing redevelopment and help shape the future heart of Berlin.
